Volltext

If you have been sent into quarantine or banned from working as a result of an individual notice issued by the Bremen Public Health Office or the Bremen Public Order Office, a general order issued by the Bremen Public Order Office or a statutory order issued by the State of Bremen, you are entitled to compensation for your loss of earnings.

If you are engaged in an alternative activity or work from home (home office), you are not entitled to compensation.

Compensation depends on your earnings.

For employees/workers the following applies:

For the first 6 weeks, you will receive compensation directly from your employer in the amount of your previous net pay. Short-time allowance is also taken into account.

From the 7th week onwards, the Bremen Public Order Office will pay the compensation in the amount of the sick pay.

Allowances from your employer will be deducted from the calculation.

If you are entitled to unemployment benefit during the activity ban, you will receive this from the Employment Agency.

The following applies to employers:

You must pay the compensation to your employees. You can have the amounts paid reimbursed by the Bremen Public Order Office.

In the event of a ban on activities, pension insurance contributions and levies 1 to 3 can also be reimbursed.

In the event of a segregation, contributions to pension, nursing care, unemployment and health insurance as well as apportionments 1 to 3 can also be reimbursed.

You can also apply for an advance from the Bremen Ordnungsamt.

The following applies to self-employed persons:

You will receive the reimbursement directly from the Ordnungsamt Bremen.

For the calculation, your last annual profit is taken into account. This is divided by 12.

Contributions to pension, nursing care and health insurance can be reimbursed.

You can also apply for an advance payment.

The following applies to home workers:

Unlike for the self-employed, your average monthly income is taken into account for the calculation.
