What is bulky waste?
In principle, all bulky movable items that do not fit into the residual waste garbage can. Old furniture, carpets, carpeting, mattresses and bed frames belong in bulky waste. In any case, waste from construction, conversion or repair work, as well as doors, windows, tree and shrub cuttings, garden waste, filled bags/boxes (including empty ones) and car parts do not belong. Large old electrical appliances, such as washing machines, stoves and televisions, are taken away as part of the bulky waste collection.
The bulky waste must be located within the city limits and the jurisdiction of the City of Bremerhaven.
This service is free of charge once a year up to 5 m³ per household. Each additional m³ and each additional appointment is subject to a charge.
You have 2 options:
- Digital: You fill out the bulky waste application form on the Bremerhavener Entsorgungsgesellschaft homepage
- Analog: You fill out a bulky waste request card
This information is required:
- Collection address - where the bulky waste is located
- Details of the bulky waste
- Name, telephone number and e-mail address for queries.
Digital: You choose your appointment immediately from the available dates.
Analog: You will receive an appointment from us by post within the next 3 to 5 weeks.
