• the event takes place in an area with a rabies risk or
• the animals come from an EU country or another country.

The event may be restricted or banned, for example to prevent an animal epidemic.

• Include the following information in your advertisement:
  • the person organizing the event
  • the person responsible
  • Place, time and period of the event
  • details of the animal species exhibited
  • Countries of origin of the animals
• Please submit the following documents with your advertisement:
  • Permit to exhibit animals if you wish to hold the dog or cat show on a commercial basis
• If you wish to exhibit animals from abroad additionally:
  • Animal health certificate and supporting documents (proof of vaccination, proof of blood test results)
  • Event permit
  • Registration number

You have a permit to exhibit animals if you wish to hold the dog or cat show commercially.

• You describe your request with all the important information.
• You submit the notification with all the necessary documents.
• You send the notification to the responsible office.
• The responsible office accepts your notification.
• You receive a confirmation.
• You will be informed of any restrictions or bans.

Processing takes about 1 - 3 weeks.

Announce the event at least 4 weeks in advance.
