You must notify the building supervisory authority in advance of the removal of buildings, including structural installations.

You can remove a structure without involving the building supervisory authority,

• if it is a free-standing building of building classes 1, 2 and 3,
• if it is another structure that is not a building with a height of up to 10 m,
• if installations that do not require a procedure in accordance with the Thuringian Building Code are affected.

As soon as you wish to remove another structure, you must notify the building supervisory authority in advance.

Involve a qualified structural engineer. This regulation is intended to ensure that the stability of neighboring buildings is not endangered when systems are removed.

The building supervisory authority checks and confirms the notification.

It is possible that you will be informed of any other additional permits that may be required, for example those relating to monument protection, nature conservation or waste legislation.

You must notify the removal at least one month in advance.

• Only projects that are exempt from the building regulations do not require notification. These can be, for example, smaller detached buildings and smaller structures.
