You have the technical equipment and personnel to determine particulate, gaseous organic and inorganic substances and odors. They are familiar with the special requirements for sampling and analysis.

They are able to determine noises and/or vibrations in terms of equipment and personnel.

First of all, you need accreditation by the DAkkS - Deutsche Akkreditierungsstelle GmbH and proof of a corresponding QM system for testing laboratories in accordance with DIN EN 17025. The other documents to be provided can be found in the application form available under the following link:

The requirements include the expertise, independence and reliability of the measuring body. They must participate in interlaboratory tests at the request of the competent authority.

Fees are payable for the implementation of the notification procedure and the associated expert services, depending on the testing and administrative costs and the special measurements requested, and additional costs are incurred for participation in interlaboratory comparisons.

Approximately four months after submission of the complete documentation

The notification is limited to five years and must be reapplied for thereafter.

The responsibility lies with the State Office for the Environment.

Written form requirement: The application must be made in writing.
