If you would like to set up a pregnancy conflict counseling center, you can do so under certain conditions.

Pregnancy conflict counseling centers advise every woman and man on questions of sex education, contraception and family planning as well as on all questions relating to pregnancy.

To set up a pregnancy conflict counseling center, you must submit an application and meet certain requirements.

Proof of the required qualifications of the counseling staff at the counseling center

In order to be recognized as a pregnancy conflict counselling centre, you must meet the following requirements:

• You must ensure that sufficiently qualified staff are available to provide professional advice
• You must ensure that additional specialists can be called in at short notice to provide counseling
• You must cooperate with all agencies that provide public and private assistance for mother and child
• They must not be organizationally or economically connected to any place where abortions are performed.

In order to be recognized as a counselling centre for pregnancy conflict counselling, you must submit an application.

• To do this, you can contact a member of staff at the office responsible for you by telephone.
• They will provide you with all the information about the necessary application documents and the legal provisions as well as the relevant forms for your application.
• The application must be signed with a legally binding signature by the person who can be held liable for the advice center.
• You submit the complete application with the attachments to the office responsible for you.
• Once the application office responsible for you has completed its examination, you will receive a notice of recognition.
• The decision will contain instructions with information on what you can do if you do not agree with the decision.

The individual federal states have specific implementation regulations.

• State recognition of a counseling center according to the Pregnancy Conflict Act (SchKG)
• State recognition as a counseling center is mandatory in order to be able to provide pregnancy conflict counseling
• Independent providers and local authorities can apply to set up a pregnancy conflict counseling center
• Doctors can also apply to be recognized as a counselling centre
• Certain requirements must be met for recognition, which must be proven upon application
• Public funding for a recognized counselling centre is granted under certain conditions
• Qualified staff must be available for the advice center and can be selected by the center itself; the staff must meet certain qualification requirements
